Run in the city: 1st WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters
The first “WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters” will take place from 6 to 8 November 2009 in Dortmund. Over the three days, the athletes will be faced with a very special running challenge, they must accomplish 54 kilometres at an altitude of more than 1000 metres. As an incentive, there will be prize money to the value of Euro 20,000 for the fastest.
Premiere: The first “WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters” in Dortmund
This is what runners have long been waiting for: the first trail running competition that really deserves the name of “Worldmasters”. Because over the three days the athletes will be faced with a very special running challenge that goes far beyond the requirements of a daily event, meaning that they must accomplish a total of 54 kilometres at an altitude of more than 1000 metres.
The venue for the WINDSTOPPER® Trailrun Worldmasters event is just as exceptional as the event itself. Especially the destination on the grounds of a former blast furnace. This also serves as the backdrop for the first stage, which guarantees the runners of a unique industrial atmosphere. Together with exciting trails through directly adjoining parks, woods and hillsides, the participants can be sure of a good variety.
